General Information

Protecting personal data is extremely important to Hansgrohe SE, Auestr. 5-9, 77761 Schiltach and Hansgrohe Pte Ltd, 69 Mohamed Sultan Road Singapore 239015. We collect, process and use your personal data exclusively (a) based on and within the scope of our legal powers or (b) with your separate declaration of consent. The following sections contain information about our legal powers, except when specific reference is made to the need for a declaration of consent.

Enabling Use of our Website Content

When you access the information offered on our websites, we collect and store the following usage data short-term to enable you to use the site: characteristics that identify you (your IP address; where applicable, user names and passwords), information about the start, end, type and extent of your usage, as well as information about the type of browser and operating system that you use. This technical process is essential when accessing websites on the WWW. The same procedure applies when you access content from our newsletters (except where otherwise permitted by law, our newsletters are only sent at your request and with your explicit consent).

Personal Data Voluntarily Provided by You

  • Contact forms, e-mail and post
When you voluntarily submit personal data to us such as name, title, e-mail or postal address, phone numbers, personal messages, etc., via contact forms on our websites, or via e-mail or other mail, we will store and use this information for the purposes of providing the particular service requested (e.g. sending the information requested, answering technical or other queries, responding to your website feedback). For Hansgrohe portal customers, this includes forwarding Hansgrohe product information and offers tailored to you.

  • Application form
You can use an application form on our website to apply for a position (e.g. a job, or in relation to a dissertation or training) at a Hansgrohe group company in Germany. We will pass on any personal data provided by you via the form (including document attachments) to the German company advertising the position. This is for the sole purpose of implementing the application procedure. Once we have forwarded your personal data, we will delete it immediately. The company advertising the position will delete this information within six months of conclusion of the application process. This applies in each case subject to the condition that there is no legal obligation for further storage.

  • Showroom locator
You can use the showroom locator on our website to send a contact request to the dealer of your choice. We do not check the information you submit, but pass on your enquiry directly to the dealer, who will then receive the information you have submitted, including your personal data. Once we have forwarded this information, we will delete it from our system unless you wish to take part in rating the dealer or unless we have a legal obligation to store it for a longer period.

  • Dealer recommendation
If you use our “Dealer recommendation” function, we will save the e-mail addresses, mobile telephone numbers and names that you enter for the sender and recipients, as well as any message entered by you to send the message. Once the e-mail has been sent, we will delete the personal data immediately unless we have a legal obligation to store it for a longer period.

  • Newsletter/e-mail marketing
If you have signed up for our newsletter, you will receive regular updates on the Hansgrohe company and the hansgrohe and AXOR brands. This includes information on the products, background stories, competitions, sponsoring, etc. You can select your preferences on the sign-up form. We use double opt-in for the sign-up process. Once you have subscribed via the form, you will receive an e-mail from us with a link. Click on it to confirm you are the rightful owner of the e-mail address and want to receive newsletters from Hansgrohe in future. If you have sent us this at an earlier stage, you may not receive another notification e-mail. Once confirmed, you will receive newsletters from Hansgrohe and its hansgrohe and AXOR brands. If you would like to object to the processing of your personal data and there is no direct opt-out mechanism available, please contact us at privacy@hansgrohe.com.

  • Using your personal data
Your personal data will only be used for advertising purposes without your express consent within the strict limits provided for by law. You will not be contacted via e-mail or phone for advertising purposes without your express consent. Based on and within the scope of our legal powers, we process and use the following personal data voluntarily provided by you to the degree required (1) for the purposes of advertising our own services or (2) to transmit this data to Hansgrohe group companies for their advertising: your affiliation to a group of people (e.g. your status as a Hansgrohe customer or prospective buyer), name, title, academic degree, job title, industry or business category, address (but not your phone or e-mail contact details) and year of birth. In addition to this information, we may also store and use any other data that we have legitimately obtained for the purposes of advertising our own services,. Where we transmit the aforementioned data to group companies associated with us for their advertising purposes, these companies are legally obliged to inform you that they have obtained the data from us (through a notice to this effect in the promotional material, etc.). In such cases, we store information about the source and recipient of the data for a period of two years. You may object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time.

Information about Your Usage Behaviour

Since we aim to optimise our services and advertising to meet our customers' requirements, we need information about general customer usage behaviour. We therefore use the user data that we have legitimately collected when enabling utilisation of our website to compile usage profiles using pseudonyms. This means that we replace any information in the user data which could be used to identify you (such as IP address, user names, passwords) with an abstract feature. Usage profiles will not be merged with your personal data or used for any other purposes. You may object to the use of your personal data to create usage profiles at any time.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer, enabling an analysis of how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to one of Google's servers in the USA, where it is stored. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address is abbreviated beforehand within EU Member States or in other states who are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Your full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there in exceptional cases. On behalf of this website operator, Google will use this information for the purpose of analysing your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website and internet usage for the website operator. Google will not associate the IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics with any other data held by Google. You may prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to make use of the full functionality of this website. You may also prevent the data generated by the cookie, and related to your usage of the website (including your IP address), being collected and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. In view of the discussion surrounding the use of analytical tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” and that consequently IP addresses are further processed only in an abbreviated form to exclude a direct link to persons.

Moreover, we also use Google Analytics to analyse data from AdWords and the double-click cookie for statistical purposes. If you do not want this to happen, you can disable it via the Ad Preferences Manager (https://adssettings.google.com/anonymous?hl=en). For more information about terms and conditions of use and data protection, please go to http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or https://policies.google.com/?hl=en&gl=de.

We have installed the "tynt" tool on some of our websites. When you copy and paste content from these websites into e-mails or post it on social media pages (e.g. Facebook), this tool will add a link to the relevant website and tell us which website has been accessed using copy and paste. This information is collected on a purely anonymous basis. At no time can Hansgrohe see who has shared that particular content or with whom. For more information on this tool, please go to www.tynt.com.

Access to the Information Stored on Your Devices (Use of Cookies)

We only use cookie technologies without your prior consent to enable you to use our website content. Cookies are text files which contain information that is used, for example, to identify repeat visitors to our website. They are stored on your device, where we access them. During this process, we do not collect or store any personal data without your express prior consent, and in particular we abbreviate your IP address so that this can in no way be used to identify you. We also only collect and store information about the options you have selected (e.g. language version, country pages, B2B or B2C content), product IDs from your wish lists or download centre, frequency and duration of site visits, etc. If you do not wish to receive cookies or wish to delete them from your device, you can change your browser settings at any time. If we wish to use cookies to optimise our content and advertising to meet requirements, we will request your prior consent.

Targeted Online Advertising

When we run marketing campaigns, targeted online advertising (also known as remarketing) enables us to identify your anonymous data and assign you to a target group so that we can show you ads based on your interests. To do this, a cookie will be saved to your computer when you visit our website. This enables us to record information on your activities on the websites you visit (e.g. ad banners and subpages you click on, web browsing behaviour, etc.). We use this data to create a usage profile under a pseudonym. This profile cannot be used to track you or identify you.
It enables targeted ads based on your interests to be displayed when you visit the websites of other providers. You can, of course, withdraw your consent to this at any time by disabling cookies in your browser settings with effect for the future.

External Service Providers

When we collect and use personal data, we are assisted to some extent by selected service providers who, under the terms of their contract with us, act subject to strict instructions, and who are checked by us before commencing their activities and subsequently monitored on a regular basis.

Deletion of Data

Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we will delete your personal data by no later than three months after the original reason for retaining it has lapsed, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it for a longer period.

Data Economy

In accordance with the principles of data reduction and data economy, we only store personal data for as long as it is necessary or required by law (statutory retention period). If the reason for gathering the information ceases to apply or the retention period expires, we will lock or delete the data.

Your Rights to Access Data, for Stored Data to be Rectified, Restricted and Deleted and Your Right to Object

You have the right to access the personal data stored about you as well as the right to have the data rectified, restricted or deleted. Exceptions: Data storage is mandatory as part of the contractual relationship or if there is a legal obligation to retain data.

You may withdraw your consent for data to be collected, processed and used at any time with effect for the future. Please contact us by e-mail at privacy@hansgrohe.com

We will be happy to answer any further questions on data protection and the processing of your personal data. You can contact us via e-mail at privacy@hansgrohe.com or using the contact details in the Company Information.

To ensure data is restricted at all times, the data must be kept in a lock file for monitoring purposes. If there is no legal archiving obligations, you can also request that the data is deleted. Otherwise, we will restrict the data upon your request.

Further to the aforementioned rights, you may request access to the data stored about you as well as for incorrect data to be rectified or deleted, at any time. Please address your objections, queries, requests for access or deletion, and complaints, etc., to:
