1. Scope
The following General Terms and Conditions shall govern the contractual relationship between the seminar participant and Hansgrohe SE, Hansgrohe Deutschland Vertriebs GmbH and affiliated companies (hereinafter referred to as "Hansgrohe"). Any participant's general terms and conditions that diverge from these terms shall have no legal force.
2. Registration
You must register online or in writing. Registration shall become legally binding when confirmed in writing by us. You shall receive further information by e-mail at least two weeks before the seminar date. If overbooked, the participant shall be informed in writing within 14 days; in this case, no contract shall be concluded.
3. Delivery of the seminar
Hansgrohe reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the seminar programme while preserving the overall character of the seminar. Participants shall be informed immediately if the seminar is unable to go ahead as a result of force majeure, or because a speaker is unable to attend, or due to interruptions at the event venue or an insufficient number of participants. The seminar shall be cancelled or postponed due to an insufficient number of participants or for organisational reasons no later than 14 days before the event. No claims to reimbursement of travel and overnight accommodation costs or loss of earnings shall be considered unless such costs arose due to gross negligence or intent on the part of Hansgrohe.
4. Cancellation/refund of costs
A cancellation always entails administrative work and costs for us. If it is unavoidable, you have the option of sending a substitute person to take part instead.
- For seminars that require a fee:
If we receive a written cancellation no later than on the fifteenth day before the start of the event, you shall not be required to pay the course fee. If cancellation is made up to the fifth day before the start of the event, the course fee shall be reduced to 50%, and the full course fee shall be charged if the cancellation is made at a later date. In the event of illness or an accident, the course fee shall be refunded, provided that a medical certificate is presented. If participants drop out of the course then there shall be no reimbursement of the course fees. - For free seminars:
If we receive a written cancellation after the fifteenth day prior to the start of the event, a fixed amount of €50 shall be charged for expenses that have been incurred. In the event of illness or accident, the fixed fee shall not be charged, if a doctor's note is provided.
5. Copyright
The seminar documents are protected by copyright. The documents may only be duplicated, distributed and otherwise used with the express written consent of Hansgrohe/the seminar speaker.
6. Liability
The events are carefully prepared and presented by qualified speakers. Hansgrohe accepts no liability for the seminar documents being up to date, accurate or complete and accepts no liability for conducting the seminar.
7. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction
German law shall apply, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction shall be Rottweil, Germany, where permitted by law.
8. Right of Cancellation
As a consumer you have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The cancellation period is fourteen days from the date that the contract is concluded. In order to exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract either by writing to Hansgrohe SE - Aquademie, Auestraße 5-9, 77761 Schiltach, Germany, by fax to +49 (0)7836 511 505 or by e-mail with a clear statement of your intention (e.g. a letter by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the example cancellation form (see Download), but this is not mandatory. To comply with the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient if you send your declaration of cancellation before the cancellation period expires.
Consequences of cancellation: If you cancel this contract, we must reimburse you for all payments we have received from you immediately and at the latest within fourteen days of the day on which we receive notice that you are cancelling this contract. We shall use the same means of payment for this refund as you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed with you otherwise, and in no event shall you be charged for this refund.
If you have requested that the service should start during the cancellation period, you shall pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the services already provided by the time you inform us that you are exercising your right to cancel this contract, as a proportion of all the services provided for in the contract.
9. Video Recordings, Audio Recordings and Photographs
The organiser intends to use video recordings, audio recordings and photographs of the participants produced in connection with the event for advertising purposes, without any right to remuneration. The organiser reserves the right to use, broadcast, display, reproduce or otherwise publish all material, e.g. on the radio, on TV, at events, on the internet. The organiser shall also be entitled to transfer these rights to third parties. If you disagree with any use of video recordings, audio recordings or photographs, please notify the seminar leader immediately after the event.
10. Privacy
Hansgrohe protects your personal data and takes appropriate measures to secure your data. When you provide personal information such as name, address or telephone number, this data will be used by Hansgrohe for marketing purposes. Your data will not be passed on to any third parties. This excludes service providers who are acting on behalf of Hansgrohe and third parties such as the companies affiliated with Hansgrohe in accordance with Section 15 ff. of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG). In accordance with applicable law, you can request information in writing at any time about whether we store any personal data relating to you and what data we hold. We will then send you a message with this information. Please send your requests to Hansgrohe SE, Data Protection Officer, Auestraße 5-9, 77761 Schiltach, Germany or to privacy@hansgrohe.com. This also applies to deletion of your data.
